5 Tips for returning to our natural rhythms and habits

How have you been handling your health and healthy habits and routines in the last few months? I know for some it’s been easier to incorporate and for others, it’s been harder.

Regardless of which it was for you, the world seems to be shifting back to more businesses being open and either returning to what was a normal lifestyle or finding a new normal.

Here are a few tips to consider to either get back to or keep up newfound healthy practices:

  • Schedule it – block off time on your calendar, set reminders, or whatever you need to ensure you have time for exercise, meditation, planning and cooking healthy meals, drinking more water, getting more sleep, or whatever habits are your top priority.

  • Don’t make it a choice – it’s easier to create a habit when you don’t have to make a conscious decision to do it, but instead just know that you always xyz at a certain time.

  • Pair it up with another habit – along the lines of not making it a choice, you can tack the new habit onto something else that’s a regular part of your routine.

  • Make it a priority – if something is getting in the way, ask yourself why, which is the higher priority… knowing you should do something vs actually valuing it enough to commit to it are very different things and can determine whether you’re successful with your health goals.

  • Accountability – for many it’s easier to ask a friend or family member to help hold you accountable to your goals than to do it alone then you can cheer each other on.

So think about what things used to be a regular part of your schedule and get it worked back in including getting your reflexology sessions booked again.
